Coffee Tables for Hotels and Apartments: Cleaning and Moving

Review a hospitality coffee table with the team that will clean and move it. Include access beneath the furniture, approved care products and the handling instructions in the selection decision.
Describe the Routine
Identify whether the table stays in place or is moved for housekeeping, events or room changes. Show nearby furniture and the floor finish. A low base or closely nested set may require a different cleaning approach from a table on open legs.
Ask How It Should Be Moved
Request the assembled weight and handling instructions for the proposed model. Confirm whether the top is attached and which parts can be used when moving it. Staff should use the lifting points identified in the supplier’s instructions.
Plan for Damage and Replacement
Ask how a damaged top, foot or base component would be identified and whether replacement options exist. Retain material references. For apartments, include resident-facing care information that matches the actual supplied finish rather than a generic furniture leaflet.
Approval Record
- Cleaning access and products
- Weight and handling instructions
- Top attachment confirmation
- Component and finish references
HSE considers the task, load, environment and individual capability in handling assessment. HSE: Manual Handling Assessment. Handling decisions depend on the actual object and environment, not weight alone.
Describe the whole moving task, including what is on the table
A table's listed weight may exclude the lamp, tray or display placed on it. Before planning a routine move, identify what must be removed and who handles it. Disconnect a lamp through its normal safe procedure; do not move the table with a cable still restricting its travel.
Ask the supplier whether the top is fixed, removable or secured by a particular fitting. Keep any component handling instructions with the table record. A top that separates from its base may need a different method, but do not dismantle it without instructions or assume a loose-looking top is intended to lift off.
Record frequency and route, as well as weight
HSE's manual-handling assessment guidance considers the task, load, environment and individual capability. It includes frequency, carrying distance, posture and floor conditions. A move repeated during daily cleaning needs assessment in that routine, even if a delivery team moved the table successfully once.
Walk through the proposed route without the load first. Note thresholds, rugs, narrow turns, destination space and any equipment proposed by the responsible site team. Record where the removed lamp or accessories will wait so they do not obstruct the route. Do not prescribe a lifting headcount from weight alone.
After placement, check the table and its components according to the supplier's instructions before returning accessories. Record visible damage or a changed joint as an issue for assessment. Staff should stop using or moving a table that appears unstable rather than trying an unapproved repair.
For a YEINIHOME (言逸家) coffee or side table selection, include the expected moving routine with the model reference. Request assembled weight, approved handling points and any component-specific instructions. Suitability of a trolley or other aid needs review for that table and route.
Questions Before You Order
Can Staff Lift the Table by Its Top?
Follow the selected model's handling instructions. Do not assume the top or its attachment is intended as a lifting point.
What Information Helps With a Damaged Component?
Retain the model, finish and component references, then send photographs of the damage. Confirm repair or replacement options for that construction.
Does the assembled table weight settle the moving plan?
No. Include accessories, handling points, any separate parts, the route and how often the task is repeated. The responsible site team should assess the actual task and any proposed equipment.
